Every piece is built from carefully chosen solid wood, (walnut, white oak, cherry, butternut, and hard maple are my most common selections) matched to the project for strength, stability, and the grain character that best suits its purpose. Walnut offers rich, deep tones and dramatic figuring; cherry warms, darkens, and smooths with age; white oak gives a pronounced grain and durable surface; maple provides a clean, tight grain ideal for painted or natural finishes.
Finishes are selected to both protect and enhance the wood: hand-rubbed oil for a natural, tactile feel; satin or matte water-based varnishes for low-VOC durability; and hard wax or varnish when extra abrasion resistance or sheen control is required. All finishes are applied in thin, buildable layers and sanded between coats to create a smooth, long-lasting surface that shows off the wood’s character. Food-safe finishes are also available.
Customization is standard: drawer layouts, interior partitions, dovetail or full-extension soft-close slides, and hardware choices are tailored to how you’ll use the piece. Sizes are adjusted to fit your space and function, from compact bedside units to large credenzas. Drawer interiors can be fitted with dividers, felt lining, or cedar bottoms.
Every item is made to order, balancing practical joinery and reliable hardware with the aesthetic qualities of the wood you choose, so the final piece is both useful and timeless.
